Still going!

Hello, it's been a bit!

I've been sidetracked a lot with my day job, but here's some of the things I've been focusing on (albeit as my brain allows)

  • Reformatting the document
    • Some of the sections could be moved to make the process of reading the document a bit smoother.
  • Adding in examples for each section
    • As someone who doesn't play a lot of ttrpg's, it's often daunting to jump into a large document without examples of how things might work. I want to add in a sort of story line through the examples so new players/GM's can get up to speed quickly and hopefully get their minds going on the possibilities!
  • Adjusting the Brawler class
    • They're still a bit bland and I want to give them some spice. Currently tinkering with exploding dice mechanics and weapon specializations.
  • TALENTS
    • These are the way I want to introduce a bit of customization to the classes so each player feels like they can make their character in their own way. Here's a preview of some of the talents for The Grappler:
    • Tenacious: on a 1 or 2, this move deals half dmg instead of no damage.
    • Thundering: this attack deals an additional ½ dmg to two nearby enemies
    • Towering: end your turn. You can perform this attack twice next round without rolling.
    • Still in the process of figuring out how some of this will get added to your character, but leaning towards a "rest point" system at the moment where you're granted a point to spend on talents/hp/meter upgrades at the end of a street or by defeating a boss.

Hopefully that gives you a good sense of where I'm taking things at the moment and gets you a bit excited about the future of Brawl City!
